This report describes how long it takes for DOH to announce a death or recovery.

Only datapoints with published actual dates of recovery/death were included.

Disclaimer on Recoveries

The Department of Health has publicly announced 252,510 recoveries. Of which, 6,880 were tagged with their actual dates of recovery.

Exclusions

Out of the 6,880,

  • 619 recovered before they were announced positive to SARS-CoV-2, and
  • 9 were tagged recovered before their actual date of recovery.

For the purpose of this analysis, these datapoints will not be used. The reports on the latency in reporting of recoveries will only use the remaining 6,252 datapoints.

Disclaimer on Deaths

The Department of Health has publicly announced 5,344 deaths. Of which, 1,385 were tagged with their actual dates of death.

Cases of Posthumous Confirmation

Out of the 1,385, 928 died before they were announced positive to SARS-CoV-2. For the purpose of this analysis, these datapoints will not be used. The reports on the latency in reporting of deaths will only use the remaining 457 datapoints.
